4/11 to 14 — School of the Longhunters to be held at Prickett Fort in WV. Bill Schneider described conference topics. 4/18 — George Washington Travels — Joey Hamilton described conference topics. Conference to be held at Butler Country Club.

Cost is approximately $60.

4/26-28 — Ft. Frederick Market Fair

5/17-19 — Prickett’s Fort will hold a Market Fair. Contact Bill S for details.

  • June:

6/8-9 — Cooks Forest F&l Encampment. Dale L presented information on this event and had handouts for all to take and distribute. It is the 20th year. As part of Dale’s presentation on this event, he read a statement regarding award volunteers — Several members of our group, who are part of the Officers Corp received the 2024 Pennsylvania Volunteer Education Award for their efforts in educating the general public and preserving history. They are: Geoffrey Domowicz, Bill Graham, Mary Homza, Dale, and Greg Rearick.

6/21-23 — Ft. Loudon Market Fair — Ed mentioned that the fort is holding several nice events this year. Located not too far off PA turnpike in south central PA. Bill S stated that they rebuilt many of the buildings on the site and reiterated the events to be held.

  • July:

7/5-7 — Ft. Niagara — Greg presented information on this annual event. People can arrive on the 4th. Ice, breakfast and wood will be provided.

7/19-21 — Heritage Days at Waterford. Bill S read information about this event and described the amenities on site. Event to be held 10-6 on Saturday and 10-3 on Sunday. Dinner will be provided on Saturday.

8/3-4 – Bushy Run

8/10-11 – Fort Robideux

  • September:

9/21 — Ft. MacIntosh (Vicery House) located in Beaver, PA. One day event; information presented by Joey H and Barb B. 9/27-29 — Primitive skills weekend at Ft. LeBeouf. Bill S described the event. Contact him for more information. They are looking for people to demonstrate 18th century activities. Women are welcome. Dinner will be provided.

9/13-15 — Cochranton Event. (School programming on Friday).

Lining up several speakers for the event to be held at Lion’s Park. Bill S will get additional information to Geoff.

  • October:

10/12-13 – Ligonier

10/5-6 — Prickett’s Fort — 250th Lord Dunmore event.

  • November:

11/1-2 – Old Fort Niagara

  • December:

12/7-8 — Colonial Christmas at Ft. LeBeouf. Highlighting

Washington’s trip to the area. Bill S will provide information.
